Hi!

I installed a font that killed my system (it's called 28 days later). I finallly got the mess cleaned up but now my computer will no longer launch firefox. I use it a lot on my laptop for web development testing and I need to get it running again on my desktop. Does anyone have any idea what to do to fix this problem?

Thanks!

There should be a way to use the font manager
to find and remove that font from the system.

With a name like "28 Days Later" I'd suspect that right away something would
happen about 27 days later. (Just kidding, though not real funny.)

    {Is your profile in the signature line really old? - It shows an OS X 10.1.}

HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions...

*"I installed a font that killed my system"*

Booting in Safe Mode will trash font caches and may help. *Keep in mind, booting in Safe Mode takes a little longer then a normal startup*. Just be patient.

    Try booting in Safe Mode

    What is Safe Mode

Maybe that's why I've never had font problems, by
using SafeBoot & other maintenance procedures.

And not installing odd fonts and avoiding items that
may add ones which may cause a problem. But one
way to deal with several fonts actually needed by
applications, in a way so as to not have issues, is to
manage them. At least there is a font book, and it
can be used to handle fonts and avoid issues.

    Glad that you could post.
    Good luck & happy computing!
