Blackberry Bold - want to transfer images

I've got a Blackberry Bold and thought I could just connect it via a usb cable and remove the images from the media file. However, nothing happens. I can do this with my bog-standard Nokia.

I then installed the Blackberry software that came with it but all that does is let me sync the thing.

I looked this up on the Blackberry forums but what they say just doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Power Mac G5, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

FYI - it was given to me by work.

You can attach the images on your Bold to an email and send them to yourself. Select the photo from the camera's library and then choose share/send. Open pictures (I think they're jpeg) and drag them into iPhoto.

My wife does this all the time with her bold (also a work device).

On your BB got to Options>Memory make sure that Media Card Support is ON, Auto Enable Mass Storage When Connected is Yes, Media Transfer Protocol is ON, Mass Storage Mode is ON. Then go to Camera and Video Options and make sure that the pictures and videos are being saved to the Media Card. Then when you connect the USB, the media card will show on the desktop and then you can move items to the BB, or to your computer.

If you've checked the BB forums and googled, "blackberry bold and mac compatibility" and came up with zero what else is there? Dataviz?

Yes, I could do that but according to the instructions, I should be able to just plug in a usb cable.

It's a basic function that should work.

Thanks. Looks like other Blackberry Bold users are having the same problem on the forums.

Anyway, I don't have Media Transfer Protocol on my BB either.
