connection to Tascam DR-07 digital recorder

My iMac won't detect the above recorder when I plug it into a USB slot - any ideas?

I checked the specifications it's doesn't say anything about being OS X compatible, however it does record to a SD card so you can try to remove that and access the files from a card reader.

Thanks, Roger. The users' manual does say OS X 10.2 and later is supported....

10.2 is pretty old, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer and ask if they have tested it with 10.6.x. Significant changes have been made in OS X over the years.
