Any Type of good Mac "Cleaner" program

Hi Group,

I know this is a silly question but is there a good "cleaner" program to keep my mac running fast and keeps things tidy. Being a former PC guy for years and years there was always a need to run a registry cleaner and spyware cleaner. I realize mac does not have theses issues and that is one main reason for me switching from PC to mac. However, I was wondering if from time to time I still would need to run such a program?

There are a number of good maintenance utilities, and it's a good idea to use one of them from time to time ... but not for the purposes you asked about (spyware, registry).

OS X maintenance utilities help keep the system healthy overall. You can read their documentation for the exact features (I prefer Mac OS X Cocktail):

Hi,

Nice post thanks for sharing such informative information about registry cleaner.It also involves
the use of different applications that do a large bulk of the work in malware or spyware detection.

I haven't needed to use anything at all so far, but OnyX is great if you really want to be sure!

An application I use from time to time is CleanMyMac, which is a paid for app that is very useful for keeping everything neat and tidy and also has various options for deleting unnecessary files, deleting applications, etc. Available here: http://macpaw.com/
