World Book Encyclopaedia 2004 Works OK. World Book Atlas Doesn't?

I have an old World Book 2004 Encyclopaedia which surprisingly being a PowerPC app works well in Snow Leopard.

However, the World Book Atlas which comprises a spinning globe will not even open.

I realise it is a very old app and I have no intention of paying for an upgrade but wondered if there was some way to get the Atlas to work? (It did work in Leopard).

Is Rosetta available for SL ?

HI Ian,

You can install Rosetta from your Snow Leoaprd install disc.

Insert the SL into the optical drive. When the window opens, click Optional Installs, then click Optional Installs.pkg.

The installer will open. When you get to Installation Type select Rosetta and click Continue.

Quit the installer and restart your Mac.

Thanks Carolyn for the info on installing Rosetta which I have just done.

Actually that did not enable me to start the Atlas. When I tried to open the Atlas again, I saw that there were 2 Atlas icons in the World Book folder. One of them bore the title "World Book Atlas Updated".

Needless to say, I had been using the other one!!!!
