iTunes keep asking authorization

I have about $ 2000 of musics and apps that can't use anymore as my iTunes keep asking to authorize the computer even if already authorized. Because of this I've lost everything on my iPhones because can't be sincronized and I can't play anymore music from my PC either because iTunes can't recognize (I think) my authorization.
I'm amazed not just to see how many people post here hundreds of problems but more amazed because most of them looks unsolved.
Thanks a lot Apple!!!!

I'm having the same problem! Each time I try to play 1 of the songs I bought from itunes store, it keeps prompting me to authorize my computer. when i do, it says that my computer is already authorized. so i try to play the music again, and the prompt shows up again asking me to authorize my pc again!

a tech support agent sent me emails stating 2 solutions but NEITHER one work (ie, deleting the SC folder, checking/unchecking Windows User Control access, upgrading to the latest itunes).

Any other ideas????

i just emailed back tech support with screenshots of what i've been encountering. hopefully i'll hear something back soon. and will post any updates.

p.s. i think my problem has to do with the fact that i have 2 user account id (1 old id that i used to purchase the songs i'm having problems with..but when i try to play them again, itunes keep telling me to use my NEW user account id. so maybe the 2 user account ids are not linked together by itunes)...anyway, that's my hunch.

I'm having the same problem--it started on Saturday evening. I have tried all of the solutions Apple and forum members have recommended, to no avail. I'm very angry about this, as I'm a music professional and use this for my work.

Don't be Toyota, Apple--please acknowledge the problem and provide a real solution that works (or a way to download the earlier version and uninstall this one).

I have been having this problem for a month or so. I have scanned the discussions and found no answer. Perhaps I need to walk down the street to Apple headquarters and have Steve Jobs fix it. Very frustrating. A loyal Apple customer (multiple boxes in the house) since the II+. Getting quite fed up with this situation as I cannot access my purchased content.

EUREKA -- I figured it out!!!!! It turns out that I have created 4 distinct Apple Account IDs all this time. The tech support guy emailed me all 4 of them. Then all I had to do was login to itunes store with each Account ID (apparently, I had created both Apple and AOL acct IDs -- I had no idea since it's been so long ago) and authorize my pc with each of them. Good thing I used the same password for all of them, and that I had purchased songs primarily from only 1 of them. Now, I can sync iPhone and play purchased songs again!

So contact Apple tech support. Have them email you all of your acct IDs. Log in to itunes store with each acct id. Authorize your pc with each acct id. And voila!

p.s. It'd be great if there's a way to "CONSOLIDATE" all these acct IDs into one...I guess I'll pay a visit to iTunes store soon to see if that can be done.

Glad to have helped out! 😉

I just wish that iTunes had a way for us to "CONSOLIDATE/LINK" all of our account IDs (or a least allow us to maintain/manage our account IDs) in iTunes store. I guess I still have to go to Apple Store in person and talk to a supervisor.

p.s. If anyone finds a way to do this, do let me know!
