Quicktime movies skip

I have the most recent Quicktime Pro and every time I try to play an I-tunes movie it constantly skips. It's the only program I have that does this. I've got plenty of memory/disk space etc. It's really making me crazy. Can anyone help me out with how to correct this issue?
