Having trouble installing Indesign CS4 on my ibook laptop G4.

Hi I'm trying to install the CS4 suite on my ibook but it refuses to install saying it needs a minimum of 1.8 Ghz and my ibook is 1.42ghz. Is there anything I can do as I really can't afford to upgrade my laptop at the moment! Hard times. Thanks

In order to run CS4, you'll need a different computer.

The Mac OS system requirements state this:
*PowerPC® G5 or multicore Intel® processor*

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/photoshop/systemreqs/

And your iBook does not have that kind of processing power.

can i upgrade my processor or is that not possible? thanks for all the answers so far! much appreciated. might just have to get CS3

Sorry, but no, the G4 processor in your (any) iBook is soldered to the logic board and can not be changed - having said that even if you could change the processor to a G5 it would kill your iBook very quickly with the extra heat it produces.
