Missing Send Button on Reply eMail

This just began happening but when I read an email and then hit the reply button .. when the reply email opens the "send" button is missing ... I'm forced to save the reply email as a draft and then open the draft in a new window to get the "send" button function .... How do I correct this?

thank you for the info .... it wasn't exactly right for my problem but it sent me in the right direction and i finally figured it out .... i needed to have a 'reply' email open, then from the menu bar for the program, under 'view' i changed the action to 'show toolbar' ..... i don't know what happened to 'hide' the toolbar but somehow i apparently did that .... again, thanks for sending me in the correct direction!!!!

It's possible the "Send" button was dragged off the toolbar for the "Reply to" feature. Each toolbar for each option in mail is unique, as in you can customize each to your liking. If this is indeed the case, while you're creating a reply to email, right click the toolbar in the reply to window and click "customize toolbar." You'll be able to drag the "Send" button back to where you'd like to put it on the toolbar.

You could try running Disk Utility Verify Disk to first make sure your boot drive is okay, then, you could try reinstalling the Mail application from the optional installs package on the installer DVD. You would also want to reapply the 10.6.2 combo update after that, and probably run software update after that.
