Q: Quad-Channel 4Gb Fibre Channel card as Fibre Switch

I do not believe this is possible out of the box. There may be a workaround, but I'm not aware of how to accomplish this.

Qlogic makes a 10 port 4Gb/s switch for ~$2,200. This is probably the best bet, and allows for some growth.

Short answer = "Computer says NO"

Fibre channel switches can often be acquired on the used-equipment market for little cash outlay; these are fairly common in mid-range and enterprise markets, so you'll find them available through channels selling used HP and compatible gear, for instance. Whether a particular fibre switch will work requires some testing.
