Ow I can add list of words to pages dictionary

Hello, I would add a list of words (1600 medical terms) to the dictionary pages. Is this possible? Thank you in advance for your answers.

Good Peter, you put me on the right track. There is an application in which you also can make your own dictionary if I remember right. It is named Excalibur. It doesn't work as the dictionary in Pages . You copy all text you want checked, open Excalibur. which does a check on the copied text and then you put the text back in the document. I don't think I have tried it with Pages, but it sholdne't be a problem.

Why should that be more complex? I have medical terms , over 7000, in my dictionary. If you use Excalibur I think you'll make it easy for you. There isn't any way to put your 1600 medical terms in a Pages dictionary without doing a spellcheck routine. They will be in french mode though.

In what format do you have your medical terms? What does it look like if you open all the word in a document?

Peter, how can I take other dictionaries in OSX 10.6?

I am still in Leopard.

My guess is that you go to preferences in Dictionary .app and where I see only Apple's dictionaries and Wikipedia, you might be offered the option of choosing/browsing to alternate dictionaries.

You will have to look amongst OpenOffice's folders/Libraries/Application support for the actual dictionary files.

I looked in mine and haven't spotted anything yet. These links may help. I can't try them in Leopard.
