Logic 7.2.1 upgrade Download

Logic 7.2.1 upgrade Download

I have version Logic 7.2 I want to upgrade to 7.2.3, I have the upgrade on disc but I need 7.2.1 or 2 before it will work.
I've downloaded 7.2.1 to disc via my pc ( my Mac is offline) http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/logicproupdate72 1.html when I try loading it I get the message "Can't be read on this system" but it says 10.4.3 or later on the download info, my MacPro is 10.4.8.
Any help please.

You should just be able to run the 7.2.3 upgrade if you have 7.2 already installed.

Have you tried extracting the files using Pacifist and overwriting your current ones, if the installer isn't working (back up your stuff first, though, in case it doesn't work!)

Logic 7.2 should be a registered Crossgrade version from 7.1
If it is then 7.2.1 & 7.2.3 (Note, there is no 7.2.2) should download from software update without a problem.
The 7.2 download you have indicated is not a full application crossgrade, it will never work.
Update your OS to 10.4.11 and run LP 7.2.3 and you will have a perfect combination. 7.2.3 will let you update to 10.5.8 (Intel) and be as stable as.

I have 7.2.3 on a disc, I can't install it because I need 7.2/3 installed first....my problem is that i've got 7.2.1 on a disc but my Mac can't open the contents because of the error message "Can't be read on this system" even though the contents where downloaded for Mac, here's the download link again. http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/logicproupdate72 1.html

If possible,try connecting your Mac online and run the software update.

One other reason that you get that error message might be that your Logic Pro 7 app is not in the Applications folder .

There's someting wrong with the download I think, it's like it's for pc?

Logic was open when I tried it, but that should'nt cause this problem, the Mac just can't read the cd!

The last version for pc was 5.5,

Logic was open when I tried it,

No comments on that 🙂

but that should'nt cause this problem, the Mac just can't read the cd!

maybe you haven't burned the cd to be compatible with a mac?

Do you have a USB memory stick?
transfer the .dmg file there and drop it from the USB to your mac's desktop

The memory stick did the job, there must have been a problem with the cd burning.
I'm just wondering if there's a noticable difference from 7.2 to 7.2.3?
