User Folder Invisable

I'm helping a friend. Their User folder does not appear in the users folder. It does show up in the Finder's Go menu and the folder can be accessed from there. When I select it from there and it opens the path is Hard drive -> users -> account name. It appears to be there but just invisable. I need help in getting it back.

The problem appears to have started after they did a restore from Time Machine after a hard drive failure.

Thanks

Run this command in the Terminal app (/Applications/Utilities/) and hit the return key:

+chflags nohidden /Users/*+

Open the /Users folder and it should be visible.
