Garageband Error Message on Launch: AUSpeechSynthesis

I keep getting this error message window when I open Garageband:

+An error has occured with an installed Audio Unit plug-in.+
+GarageBand unexpectedly quit while trying to use the Audio Unit “AUSpeechSynthesis” by “Apple”.+
+This plug-in may require an update.+

Here is a screenshot of the message dialogue:

After hitting ok, it opens just fine. I searched high and low for an explanation, but couldn't find anything about this. I'm on a unibody Macbook Pro with OS X 10.6.2; 4GB memory.
