Trying to burn playlist on to CD but fails and shows error 2131 message - would welcome solutions.

fujitsu, Windows Vista, microsoft 2003

Have you ever been able to burn in iTunes?

The 2131 error has been associated with the TSST TS-L632* optical drive.
To find out which drive you have run your diagnostics for CD/DVD Drives.
iTunes Help>>Run Diagnostics>>CD/DVD Drive tests.
Paste the entire result into your next post.
Which make and model of PC do you have, some manufacturers have a firmware update for this problem.

Yes - I have been able to burn cd's before. Diagnostic result is:

The last failed audio CD burn had error code 2131(0x00000853). It happened on drive E: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L632H on CDR media at speed 0X.

I am afraid you have the problem drive. I checked the FUJITSU site and there does not appear to be a firmware update for this drive.

I also had a look at the FUJITSU forums and you are not alone.

I am afraid you have limited options:

Contact your supplier to see if they can help.

Put up with the problem and burn using other software.

Swap the drive for another model.

Attempt a firmware update using a generic update. If this goes wrong it you permanently damage your drive but for what it's worth here is a link:
