Q: Problems Converting to AAC

Hi,

I am trying to convert MPEG Audio Files to AAC and I keep getting the notice:

"An error occurred while trying to import the file "......"

"The Current encoder settings for bit rate and sample rate are not valid for this file"

Can anyone recommend a solution so that I can convert these files and stop having this message appear?

Many Thanks

That sometimes occurs if you use the "Custom" encoder settings and request combinations that are out of range. If that is the case, try again using the default "iTunes Plus" setting, which will give you normal 256 kb/s AAC files.

Why are you trying to convert from MP3 to AAC?
I would not recommend it unless you specifically need AAC files and you are converting from a high bit rate MP3 to a lower bit rate AAC.
