No Podcast Tab in Itunes Store

I found this note on an (Apple) Podcasting FAQs page, is this the problem?

Please note, iTunes Store purchases, iPod (PRODUCT) RED and Apple Online Store are not available in India.

Hi, Shadeslayer.

I had the EXACT same problem, and I found it to be very confusing. I couldn't find podcasts or music or movies in the iTunes Store. All I could see were those two tabs for "App Store" and "iTunes U". This only happened at my computer at work. At home, I had the usual iTunes Store.

I looked everywhere but I couldn't find podcasts or music or videos anywhere. I thought I was losing my mind.

However, then I found a button that read "Change Country." My iTunes Store was set to Taiwan, and I guess none of these things were available in Taiwan. I changed my country to "Canada" and I suddenly had access to podcasts and music and everything else as usual.

This "Change Country" button was in the column on the right somewhere when I was in the iTunes store. Now that I have my iTunes Store back to normal, I see that the "Change Country" option is down at the bottom of the screen in the "Manage" column.

I'm not sure if one can change the country to whatever one wants or if it makes a difference what country you are physiclaly in. But it worked for me.

It may not be a question of "policy" and it may not be Apple's decision. There are many criteria that have to be met before Apple can offer such a service in a particular country. But other organisations within your country may be holding up such a feature. Who knows?
