Library transfer between laptops

I purchased a new laptop and wish to transfer my entire itunes library from my old laptop to the new laptop. Any information on how to do this aside from the home share and draging one tune at at time will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should have all of your music backed up top an external source. You can use this to move your music. You can use cd's, dvds, flash drive, external drive.

You can go to the top of this screen and click "Support", then type "move itunes library" or "copy itunes library" or "move itunes library".

If your laptops are networked together, don't use Home Sharing. It's slow.
Just use regular windows file sharing. Copy over your entire itunes folder.
There is a walkthrough on setting up windows file sharing under Start menu > Help. Type "file sharing" into the search box, and it will pull up the directions.

I recently transferred everything from my old laptop to my new laptop with an ethernet cable. Wow! Used the "Migration Assistant" in Utilities, thanks to the advice of Apple Support.
