802.11n Problem

Right I have a MacBook Pro with a N enabled card and a 802.11n Router

No matter what I do the transmit will NOT go over 54mbps any one got ideas on how to fix this???

Hi,
well, I've got my Speed up to 130 but mysteriously it won't speed up to 300 Mb/s. That's under MacOS 10.6. Win7 (bootcamp) on the other hand shows me 300 Mb/s! How can that be?

btw: did you check your network settings. Under "Ethernet" make shure to let your mac choose the correct configuration (same for "MTU"). Also switch of your routers "mixed" setting. Choose Wireless-N only to get full speed (you probably also set the speed to 300 Mb/s not AUTO)...

If anybody has an idea for my problem... 🙂

Just solved an issue with Atheros card and 10.6.3, together with new Airport Extreme Dual Band router whereby the 5GHz network would show up on the iPad, but not on my MacBook Pro.

I noticed that the default channel for the 5GHz network was set to automatic at Channel 36, but that it showed up in the Summary of Airport Utility manual setup as Channel 108.

To get the 5GHz network to appear on my MBP, I set the channel manually to 40 and saved settings. When the Airport Extreme rebooted, I was finally able to see the 5GHz network and connect at a higher speed. Whereas before the 5GHz network wouldn't even display, my successful system profile shows as follows:

I have exactly the same problem. A Mac Mini in the same WLAN shows connection speed 130 Mbps but the MBP 54 Mbps only. How do I enable full N-speed? I tried installing AirPort Extreme_802.11nEnabler software but it said my computer does not meet the HW requirements.

My MBP's system profiler shows this:
