I purchased the upgrade software for my ipod because I wanted to be able to connect my bluetooth GPS but I cannot seem to do this. I read that the bluetooth is only for connecting headphones. Does anyone know if it is possible?
No it's not possible, I'm sorry to inform you. You can't connect your gps system with your iPod touch or vice versa. The iPod touch Bluetooth is for wireless headphones and peer to peer connectivity only. It can't be used for nothing else other than those functionalities. It's apple fault for putting restrictions on the software.
Yes it´s possible, there is a new GPS BT receiver announced.
from a company called GNS in Germany.
The product is named 5870 MFI
As I know it´s only a anouncement but GNS ist trying to have the first Receivers in June on the market
