For some reason my computer will not run the autoplay feature to upload pictures from my iphone 3gs to my pc. It use to work for me. It also works fine on my digital camera. Can anyone tell me what to do to fix this?? PLEASE! 🙂
LOL. Yeah.....Vista *****!! I looked in my autoplay settings and nothing has changed. I have the option to open autoplay when iphone is plugged in and nothing happens. 😟 I'll check your link. Thanks!
Just use Windows Explorer to copy them off your iPhone. Press the Windows key and the E at the same time to bring it up. Navigate to your iPhone and copy the images from there.
when the iphone is conected via USB.. it is not reconiced at all
and the autoplay dont work as well even when the settings were changed
please help getting all this pics out this phone.. jajajaja
Paulcb....thanks for trying to help. I had done that before this. Strange that my iphone is not listed there when it's plugged in! ????? Yet itunes sees it and will sync it. I am so confused. Guess I get to enjoy the apple store here soon. 😟
I had the same problem before
what i did was :
i went to my photo's (on iphone) and delete all pictures that are not taken by my iphone camera (only videos and pictures .. not pictures from internet or pictures that are taken by homebutton).
the second thing what i did was I took the usb out of the pc and put it back in pc .. There came no autoplay so I went to my computer and I saw Iphone button 😀 and I clicked on it and I saw all my pictures 😀
(sorry for bad English,, im not english but I hope that this was a bit helpfull for you )
Still can't upload anything. I have tried everything! It doesn't even show my iphone when I go into my computer devices! When I open itunes it syncs it but it does not open itunes on its own. UGH! Is it a problem with my computer? Or the phone? This is SO frustrating!!!!!!
I had the same problem: 3Gs iPhone that will not import photos (from the iPhone) into iPhoto. Complete the following steps in order to solve the problem:
1. Click on the "Settings" app/button on your iPhone
2. Click on "General"
3. Click on "Auto-Lock"
4. Choose "Never"
5. Connect your iPhone to the computer
6. Open iPhoto and your phone will come up as a camera
7. You now have access to all of the photos on your iPhone
Thanks for the help. I don't have a mac, therefore I don't have iPhoto. I tried it anyways and sad to say it didn't work. 😟 I have pretty much givin up. Hopefully someone can help or I will have to find the time with an infant to go to the apple store for help.
Linda, I've been having the same frustrating issue as you. I've tried all the suggestions in these forums without any success. However macbookpro94's advice appeared to have done the trick for me.
I'm using Vista and I don't have iPhoto installed, but I gave it a try anyway. Although I must admit I didn't think it would work because autolock relates to locking the screen after a specified period of time. Anyway, I changed autolock to "never", connected my iPhone, and a new window appeared allowing me to view the photos from the iPhone (just like when you insert a USB into your computer).
I guess if that doesn't work, then you can always email the photos to yourself from the iPhone and then on your PC save it, and then sync it back to the iPhone into the photo library. You can then delete the photos from the iPhone camera roll.
I hope somebody could help. I am having similar issues with most of the posts here. I'm not able to copy photos from iphone to PC/laptop. Even though the autoplay comes on once i plug in the iphone, it was not able to detect any photos in my iphone.
Most of the times i have to plug and unplug several times before the PC/laptop could suddenly detect the photos in my iphone.
Friends around me with iphones are not encountering this issue.
I have done a 1 for 1 exchange of iphone with my service provider but both iphones are having the same problem.
Till now, i cant seem to get an answer from anybody.
So far, i have only tried on Windows XP & Vista.
Nope...didnt save any photos from email or text. Every photo was taken direct from iphone. I thought it was the usb cable at first but my usb cable works on other iphones. So im really puzzled.
