iMovie error publishing to youtube

In publishing an iMovie project to Youtube we get an a message that simply says "an error occurred" there is no other clue as to what is going on. Has anyone seen this before?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.2), iMovie 09

Best to import once directly to YouTube through their web interface. This way maybe you can pinpoint the source of the error. It is usually a wrong userid or password.

I agree.
I find that the most reliable way to publish to YouTube is to export your project to QuickTime.
And if you use MPEG-4 compression (rather than H.264), you will have a smaller file size with no loss in quality.
Then log into your YouTube account from your internet browser (Safari or ...) and upload from there.
You have lots of other options in QuickTime (eg. HD) as well.

Z.
