Hey, I am new to the iphone and wanting to sync the calendar from my iphone onto my Macbook Pro. So far I have not had success syncing from the phone to the computer. I can sync from the computer to the phone without a problem. What am I missing?
Thanks for any help.

    Not sure I understand.

The sync is both ways. Changes made on the iphone will sync to the computer and changes on the computer will sync to the iphone.

    How are you syncing?

I have a similar problem to David and am new to iPhone but not to the Mac.

I connect my iPhone to my MacBook Pro via the USB port and use iTunes to Sync. I am not using MobileMe.

Events entered into iCal on the MB are transferred to the iPhone when I Sync. Good!

However a new event entered into the Calendar on iPhone does not transfer to the MB.

I have reset Sync history in iSync but this had no effect on this problem.

    Any help would be welcome.

are you guys getting an alert saying allow/ merge or something like that... also u could in isync change it to alert you anytime its making a change on the computer instead of that 5% mark. if you do that you can know whats happening to your computer everytime you sync

It is working now. In fact it was working all along but I did not realise.

I have 7 calendars in iCal. It so happened that on the iPhone I was placing events in the only calendar that I was not displaying in iCal !!! I know, I know....

I was not paying attention to which calendar I was posting events. I had not set the default calendar on the iPhone. On iCal there is usually one that I do not display. It was just bad luck that these were the same and I was looking elsewhere.

Anyway thanks Josh about setting the alert in iSync. Useful information. I initially set it to 'any data' but have now retreated to 5%.

Strange how you need to change a setting in iSync the very piece of software not otherwise used for Syncing iPhone to computer vis USB. It is done in iTunes.
