iTunes has literally disappeared from my computer

Yesterday I was listening to songs on iTunes just fine, and I have been for a long time. Today, I turned my computer on, and the icon on my desktop for iTunes has disappeared, and in its place is an icon for QuickTime Player. I tried to open my MP3 files in iTunes by right clicking on the MP3 file and clicking "Open With...", with hopes of iTunes being one of the choices of programs to open the file with, but that didn't work.

I checked the Control Panel's programs list, and iTunes is still installed on my computer, but the shortcuts and references to it on my computer have deleted themselves somehow for some odd reason, and now I can't open iTunes. Can anybody out there help with this? Thank you for your valuable time, I seriously and sincerely appreciate it. Take care, and God bless,

I have that folder, but not that file. I tried looking for the file "itunes.exe" there, and I couldn't find it. I searched for "itunes" using the Windows Search feature, and I found the iTunes folder, and a variety of files with iTunes in the name, but not the actual iTunes program, which is weird, because I know it's still installed on my computer. I just can't find it.

I think I'll try re-downloading iTunes and see what happens.

Thank you for your response, Katrina S., I appreciate it greatly.

I tried re-downloading iTunes, and it said iTunes could not be installed because it could not uninstall QuickTime and that QuickTime has to be working for iTunes to work. I tried to install the new QuickTime player, and it said I couldn't download it with the old version installed on my computer. I tried uninstalling QuickTime on the control panel of my computer, and it said that it could not be uninstalled.

So, in short, I can't access the iTunes files, I can't uninstall them, and I can't update them. I think I'll just switch to another program to listen to music from now on. Thank you for your assistance, Katrina S., I appreciate it. Take care,
