WORST IPHONE AND APPLE SERVICE EVER

Ok, i have an iphone 3g, i bought it in CLARO, a mobilephone company from argentina. I had been having LOTS of hard problems a few month ago, and guess what? APPPLE HAS NO SERVICE FOR IPHONES IN ARGENTINA, they dont allow thechnical support in any resseler nor premium store, so i ve been discusing with my phone company and they told me that they can´t do anything, and they send me back to apple, and in apple they send me back to the company. IM DONE with it, im really upset and feel that those things of THE BEST ASSISTANCE are nothing but lies.
My home button is not working, the on/off button its not working properly, so i ve been without my iphone for 3 month. I ´ve contacted apple from many ways and they haven´t answered me, so i´m tired and want to share this with everyone.

All I m looking for is for my iphone to work, couse i ve payed alot for it and have one of the most expensive plans in my country, and i´m paying it for nothing.

iphone 3g, iPhone OS 3.1.3

Not sure if it is any help, but here is the link that Apple has for Claro Support...
http://www.claro.com.ar/iPhone/

Here is also the Support document with who is providing support as well as what carriers have the iPhone. For Argentina, and Claro it clearly states that Claro is the service provider.

As far as support for the phone goes, I don't doubt that Apple doesn't want Claro to pull iPhones apart. The main reason is Apple doesn't just send parts out for damaged iPhones. Apple generally will send out replacement iPhones and then get the damaged phone back so they can repair it, make it look like new and then put it back into service on another warranty claim. Claro should have some replacement iPhones on hand somewhere, which are basically in a plain box with no accessories. If they have no warranty replacements then it would be their responsiblity to contact Apple to have a replacement sent to them so they can pass it on to you.

Sorry you are having issues with Claro, but keep hounding them. Its there responsiblity to support the iPhone.

The issues that you have would appear to be physical issues with buttons, but have you taken any troubleshooting steps?

Apple do not repair ANY phones in Apple Stores or in shops or in service providers. ALL faulty phones are sent back to Apple and are replaced where the warranty has not been broken by the user. There are third party repair shops out there but your local Claro people won't do it as it would void their arrangement with Apple.

You are getting the exact same service you would anywhere is the world.

Your provider can provide an Out of Warranty replacement for the equivalent of $199 if you have voided the warranty by damaging it in some way. They will not however as stated above, repair anything.

ok but even if i want to pay for a repairment i CANT! that´s apple´s foult for not having a repair service in argentina. Claro is not oblyed to provide me a replacement, so what i have to do? throw my iphone out of the window???
you know whats the problem? you can´t give a certain answer, every answer is THEY MAY DO THIS OR THEY MAY DO THAT, apple is selling devices that dont have any support in other countrys, so once they are broken, even the most tiny thing, it cant be used. GREAT JOB, NICE ANSWERS, you re not helping just trying to clean up apple´s responsabilities.

I´m going to write an article about this situation in www.clarin.com, applesfera.com, so people from other countrys know the really service apple is giving abroad.

Apple does not do business in your country. YOUR carrier, Claro, brokered a deal to sell iPhones and they agreed to provide iPhone support. Complain to your carrier about their shoddy business practices instead. You seem to prefer blaming another company instead of the company in your own country that is not doing what they agreed to.

Ok tamara, but the fact is that i cant go to claro and say HEY GUYS SOMOEONE IN A FORUM TOLD ME THAT YOU HAVE TO REPAIR MY IPHONE, is there any document in which i can relay? because you cant be talking just for saying, please tell me where to obtain documentation about Claro being the responsable of a product which they don´t produce and that they must give me support, cause i couldnt find it anywhere, i d like to see the agreement.

And please get a bit more informed about apple´s business because they do LOTS of them in argentina,
http://www.macstation.com.ar/
http://www.macstore.com.ar/
http://www.maximsoft.com.ar/
for any other product, APPLE HAS SUPPORT, for iphone, not.

You re not being objective, looks like the only thing in this place is to get rid of any responsability apple might have.

The links you provided are for authorized retailers for Apple computers and related products. The authorized retailers provide support, service, and honor Apple warranty claims for the Apple products they sell. Claro is no different in regards to the iPhone there.

Copied from this link at the bottom of the page.

3. Technical support for iPhone 3G in this region is provided by the carrier, not Apple.

There is a 3 next to Claro, which includes Claro support.

I know this is frustrating, but you have been told where. Claro provides the warranty service for iphone in Argentina.

"Service and support for your iPhone is available through your carrier. Select your country below:

Personal
Claro
Movistar:"

http://www.apple.com/lae/support/iphone/

"How can I tell if my iPhone needs service?
Visit our iPhone support site for helpful troubleshooting information. If you have reviewed the articles on the website and you're still not sure whether your iPhone requires service you can contact your carrier."

"How do I get my iPhone serviced?
You can bring your iPhone to your carrier."

"How long will my iPhone service take?
For details regarding how long your iPhone service will take, please contact your carrier."

"How do I check the status of my iPhone service request?
For service status, please contact your carrier.":

"What are my service options?
Please contact your carrier for service options.
"

I don't know why Claro is telling you that Apple is the problem. It is Claro's responsibility to handle this for you.
