Charging my iPhone 3GS in Japan.

I am going on a trip to Japan. I have a British iPhone 3GS. Can I take just a standard travel adaptor along with my British plug to charge my phone there? Or do I need to purchase Apple's Travel Adaptor Kit to charge my phone in Japan?

The Apple USB Power Adapter supports 100-240V 0.15A 50/60 Hz. It's worldwide AC compatible. This USB Power Adapter has fixed prongs for use in the U.S., Canada, Japan, Taiwan, and parts of Latin America. Apple sells the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit which includes the AC plugs to support outlets in North America, Japan, China, United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Korea, Australia, and Hong Kong.
