Hi there, My wife and I have 32GB 3GS iPhones, and each has a different setting in the Settings-General-Set Date and Time options. Mine has a "Set Automatically" option where her's does not. As we travel to different time zones, my clock changes and again her's does not. The phones are the exact same version # and have the same Firmware. how do I make her's set the date and time automatically?
Has she turn on the 'Location Service' for her iPhone?
Cause I haven't 'Set Automatically' option in my iPhone 3GS as well....(wondering why/how you have this option)......but the time zone can be updated during my travel by itself...
I never noticed there is such an option like that 🙂

settings-general-date and time-automatic setting
Hi lll:
I'm quite sure again that I haven't this menu in my iPhone.
Settings-general-date and time:
1. 24-Hour Time on/off
2. Time Zone: (You can select any, but no automatically option)
3. Set Date & Time Manually (Not Automatically)
Location services turned on... You can totaly chance it manually, but this feature became standard on cellular telephones in 1995 - silly the all knowing and magical apple device cant do it - apple care no help either
Do you have the same carrier? The option to Set Automatically for Date & Time is only available if your carrier supports that feature. Not all carriers support it, and for those that don't, the option is not there.
We are the same Carrier, Bell in Canada. But I hear what your saying... Perhaps ill push apple for a new phone as it doesn't look like there is a quick fix for the problem.
