Network outages, multiple errors logged.

Once every day or two, we experience a complete network crash for up to an
hour. I think my server is causing the issue as it is logging multiple
errors through the day at the precise times of the outages.

I run an XServe with OSX Server 10.6.2. It is an OD master and is bound
to an Active Directory domain for user authentication.

Console messages that worry me are this one (approx. every 7 minutes):
Mar 11 08:55:49 macserver gssd[44971]: Minor error = 100006:
Mar 11 08:55:49 macserver gssd[44971]: Error returned by
svc mach_gss_init_seccontext:
Mar 11 08:55:49 macserver gssd[44971]: Major error = 851968: Unspecified
GSS failure. Minor code may provide more information

And this one (every minute):
Mar 11 09:02:01 macserver servermgrd[67]: servermgr_info: unexpected
Software Update state: crashed

Automatic Software updates are turned off. The only 3rd party application
installed is DeployStudio Server.

Really could do with help on this.

Also having this issue. (Slightly nuanced)

We are running Open Directory only. No Active Directory.

We get this same exact behavior except the OD master is fine but the affected server is the OD replica.

Every 1-3 days it becomes unresponsive, Directory Services hog all the CPU and the same message appears in the logs.

Major error = 851968: Unspecified
GSS failure. Minor code may provide more information

This behavior repeats even after reboot from time to time.

Sorry to hijack, you are the first who has described what afflicts us as well.

Any help, resolutions?
