audio only in left channel

I have recorded my audio. During record it looked as though as was recording in stereo, left and right were showing audio. I opened my tracks and all of them are in the left side only. I am now away from the studio but need to edit these tracks. Can I convert to a mono which will play both left and right? Or can I mirror the left side on the right side to get my stereo sound.

I am fairly new to Logic Express. I used to work in Cool Edit Pro 2.

Mono source = mono input/mono track.

Mono source > stereo input/track = left channel.

If you tracked your vocal with one mic using a stereo track then this the issue you are having. As that is a mono input.

Chose Format: Mono for a mono source...and select the input your mic is connected to.

At the bottom of the original vocal channel strip next to the I (input) and R (record ready) buttons you will see either a single circle (MONO) or two circles intertwined (STEREO).

Click the two circles intertwined to change the track to mono.

Good point. Click and hold on the channel strips format button (the one **** refers to) and you can choose Left, Right, mono, stereo, etc. Check it is set to Stereo.

Subscription service is very good value. Individual downloads are great too. I switched to subscription service recently and highly recommend it. Start with the Logic 101.

I brought my vocal track and piano track into logic. If I copy a partial piece of the vocal, or scissor a portion of the vocal to a new track I have sound in both left and right channels in the new track. The original track still is in the left channel only.
I don't know if this actually the answer to the question but it works.
