Synching dvx100B & HMC150. Help!

First time that I’ve videotaped an event using both the dvx100B (SD) and the HMC150 (HiDef), and I’m having trouble with the video/audio synch in the timeline of the project. Both cameras are set to 23.98. The dvx100B is set to Squeeze mode, so both cameras are in 16:9.
I create a FCP project. I capture the HMC150 footage from the SD card as ProRes 422 (plain, not HQ, LT or Proxy), using Log & Transfer. Normally--when I only used the dvx100B--I would create a Custom Easy Setup using NTSC 24PAnamorphic Advanced Pulldown removal.
I try this mix of capture techniques, bringing both kinds of footage into the Browser; but when I mix the NTSC 24PA and the ProRes422 files in the timeline, they begin by looking and sounding good, but gradually the video & audio go out of synch (not by much). So, I presume that I need to start over. However, I no longer have the original SD card footage, which, after capture as 422, has been erased. So I must begin again with the ProRes422 clips in my Browser; and now face the question of how to capture the dvx100B 23.98pA footage that is still on the dv tape.

Two questions:
1) How should I set up my Easy Setup, and what will the resulting Capture settings be when I then use Log & Capture to capture the dvx footage?
2) What settings should I use for the Sequence and timeline to integrate the 422 and dv footage as 23.98 16:9, and well synched?
3) I wonder if I should use Media Manager to bring all captured clips to the same format. For example, should I downgrade the HiDef HMC clips to Standard Def and only then create a SD timeline as the base of operations?

Thanks!
Robert

What is your delivery format?
what is the audio format you are trying to sync to? was it recorded by either of the cameras or did it come from a third source?
The DVX footage will upres fairly decently I have no idea what the HMC 150 is. You will need to remove advanced pulldown to get them to the same frame rate.
media manager is not good at scaling. It's best used to mangle your media after an edit to conserve hard drive space, or used in an offline online situation to re capture only the media required for a finish
Compressor is the tool for this job whether you upconvert the dvx footage or downconvert the other

Tallguy, Thanks for responding. My delivery will be to DVD, to be created in iDVD or DVD Studio Pro. I recorded the audio off a AT shotgun mic mounted on the HiDef Panasonic HMC150 camcorder, at 16x48.
You write that the DVX footage will upres well, and you suggest Compressor. I'll try that. You also suggest removing the advanced pulldown to get the same framerate as the HiDef footage (Pro Res 422) from the HMC150. How do I do that?

thanks, Robert
