Logging out of Hotmail

Why can't I log out of Hotmail properly. It keeps telling me "logout failed" with a warning telling me to allow third party cookies before it can log me out. This has only happened in the last few months. Is it a microsoft problem or Snow Leopard, and is there any problem allowing third party cookies

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

It's a Safari/64 bit mode 'problem'. Hotmail doesn't properly work with it yet.

Simply close the window to log out (Command-W) or use Safari in 32 bit mode.

Hotmail/Microsoft needs a little more time to catch up to Apple 😉

I still get the "Windows Live couldn't sign you out" page. I think it's simply a glitch. I can select my hotmail sign-in bookmark without it taking back into my account. Then, I can sign into another account without trying to sign out of the one I was just in. Since I discovered this I ignore the message and navigate to any page I want.

HI,

From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences then select the Security tab. Click "Show Cookies"
Delete any Hotmail related cookies then click Done.

Relaunch Safari.
