itunes store not working

I'm getting the same message...

I am also getting this error message. I am using iTunes 7.0 on Windows 2000

Same problem, pc with itunes 9 and vista doesn't work (just stopped working I changed nothing) but pc with xp and older version of itunes does work.

Please help?

Are apple having problems with the store?

Re-installed and checked firewall settings but didn't help. When I try and logon I get "could not complete iTUNES store request -50"

Try the following - worked for me!

The Steps are :

open EDIT >> PREFERENCES >> PARENTAL CONTROL >> tick on iTUNES STORE & ALLOW ACCESS TO iTUNES >> Press OK

This was very helpful and worked for me as well. For other users...after you disable itunes store in the parental control; go back in and enable it and ta da! it works again. Thank you again. Cheers!
