The document could not be printed

I have Acrobat Reader 9.3 installed on my Macs (OS X 10.62). Every time when I try to print I get a message "The document could not be printed". I know that there is nothing wrong with my print or my machine because I can print using anything else. If I open a pdf using preview it prints all right.

The problem is that I can't use preview with Royal Mail Stamp service when printing stamps because the pdf generated by RM has "Sample" written across it and when printed from preview the "Sample" appears on the print.

The only work around so far that my wife found was to install Acrobat 7. This makes possible to use RM Stamp service but it's not really very satisfactory solution.

I've googled for it and found that many people had that problem but so far I have not been able to find a solution. So I wonder someone found a cure to this problem.

I don't believe that it has anything to do with Royal Mail Stamp service. I simple can't print from Acrobat, any pdf I try I get the above error message. Normally I just switch to Preview and that fixes the problem.
The only issue is when I use Royal Mail Stamp service I can't use Preview since it does not gets rid of "Sample" that is written across stamps when I print. "Sample" only disappears from the prints when I print from Acrobat.
