I have a new iphone which I have tried to set up with Microsoft exchange activesync. Eventually got it to sync with the exchange server after installing security certificate. Contacts and outlook calendars have synced okay. Having problems with mail. It has downloaded my outlook mail folders but whenever I go into a folder I get "Cannot get Mail the user name or password is incorrect". Have tried deleting and entering the account again as well as a hard reset to the phone but to no avail! Help!

I have the Exact Same problem! Got my iphone on the 13th and have no access to mail since. I spent over an hour on support with shaw-to no avail. I hope to get some support from apple today...Hope they call me back soon.
Have you resolved this issue? Amyone?

So Shaw provide Exchange based email ? Don't think so somehow.... are you sure ?

If you really are using an Exchange server setup, then the post would be better in "Integrating iPhone into your business" forum than general Mail here.

I'll request it be moved but it may not go - we'll see.

I have the same problem with all my iPhones, "incorrect password" and if i press cancel or retype the password some times it works and some times no.

I have tried everything that i read in forums but nothing. I am still getting the same error.

We are using exchange 2003 with SP2.

Do you have any official response from Apple?

    Thanks

Finally got it sorted. Deleted the account of the iphone. Set up new account. For user name I was putting in domain/username (e.g. bhs/xxxxxxx). It turns out it should be a forward slash bhs\xxxxxx (which you have to dig deeper to find on the iphone keyboard). Have now got everything working. Thanks to a non-apple website for helping me out - does anybody from apple ever read these things?

Yes, but they rarely reply and when they do, it's not in an official capacity, only as another user. The is a user-user tech support forum supported and hosted, but not officially participated by Apple.
