How do I get quicktime to play Windows media files?

I have received some windows media files and I can't get quicktime to play them. What do I need to do to get it to play them?

MAC, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Yes it does. WMV to .m4v. Without the restrictions. Perfect.

There was/is a fortunate bug in Flip4Mac Beta for Snow Leopard that allows you to convert WMV file to .m4v without the restrictions in QuickTime X.

I noticed it, but Flip4Mac noticed it also, and disabled it.
