delayed sound and speech Movies

I have this exact same problem. By any chance have you figured out how to fix it? I'm so mad because Apple says I can't call them to get support without paying for it and I don't have an Apple Store around.

I have noticed some idiosyncratic behavior by ATV including what you mention.

First check the movie by playing it on the Itunes host by selecting it and hitting playh within Itunes. If the sound is out of sync then it is likely a problem with the movie file. If it plays correctly on Itunes but not on the ATV, make sure you have the latest code on both the ATV and in Itunes.

Every time I have had this problem it has responded by either restarting the movie or by cycling the power on the ATV.

I have also noticed that if I pause a movie and leave it over night, when I restart it the next day sometimes the sound gets very noisy. Full of pops and clicks. I turn off the LCD tv and restart it and the problem goes away.

What do you mean "the same code on itunes and the Apple TV"? This problem shouldn't have anything to do with iTunes. As far I know, the movies work okay in iTunes. I bought all my movies either from iTunes or the Apple TV store and no one else is complaining of this problem. Could it be the cable? I have it connected with an HDMI cable. I don't think it's the TV. According to tech specs, I have the right kind of TV.

Is it possible that the internet connection is messing it up? I can't tell for the life of me whether I have an 802.11n wireless network or not.

your router/wifi access point should make it very clear if you are N wifi or not.
