Q: Problems finding a monitor to work with a Power Mac G3 (Blue and White)

If anyone can assist, I have recently purchased an old Power Mac G3 (Blue and White) and I then purchased a monitor, to my dismay the monitor connection does not fit into my port on the back. I do not know what the operating system is or much beyond that. I do have the Serial Number if anyone knows! Appreciate all your help!

The 15-pin (two-row) Mac connector is electrically very similar to the 15 pin (three row) VGA connector. You need a simple adapter to adapt one to the other.

Note that there are also adapters that solve the reverse problem, so you need to note which connector has pins and which has holes. On a Mac that has the 15 pin (two-row) connector, the adapter must supply a code to tell the Mac what kind of display is attached.
