Iphone keeps turning on and off

My phone is seriously messing up right now. For the last couple of hours it has been on the start up screen with the apple on it. It will be on that for about 2 minutes then there will be a little circle (I think it's supposed to spin) on the apple for about another 2 minutes. Then it will turn off and back on and do the same thing. I've taken my sim card out, tried to do a hard reset many times and it's the same thing every time. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Someone please help me!

My iPhone was doing the same thing. I remember it started when I attach a voice memo to an email & was trying to send it..... The email never was sent & kept trying to send it. Anyways what I did it was delete my yahoo account , restarted the phone & added back my yahoo account!... And my phone came back to normal! Try to remember what were you doing with your iPhone prior your problem.... Remove it and you'll see it'll work!!

Hi, I also had this on an 3G. I tried everything - restore from bu, restore as new, DFU mode etc etc. Couldn't fix it.

However, I accidentally have solved it 99pct. How? by cleaning the screen. It had got quite smeared. My theory is the screen gets too many simulatenous and confusing inputs when it's cacked up and just crashes the thing. I understand is a different glass for 3GS (which is so much faster and has such better battery life, too) but that's a different story....

the fix is 99pct - occasionally, when I make a call it closes the Home screen and I have to open it again. Of course, could be me being clumsy.

Anyway, give it a go....
