Song stuck on the iPhone

I've got a song that is stuck on my iPhone. I connect to iTunes and its there, in music, greyed out, like when you right click it, it doesn't give me the option to delete it.

I have no desire for music on my iPhone as I have an iPod that I use for that. But I can't get this song off my phone at all.... Any ideas?

Do you have manually manage music and videos selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences, or do you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences?

If the latter, deselect Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync which will remove all music from your iPhone.

that used to happen to me and a friend showed me a trick, put the ear jack in and then pull it out REAL quick, like a yank. you may have to do it once or twice but amazingly it worked for me and I never had the problem again. Good luck!

If you're on an iPhone...connect to wi-fi and you will get the option to retry.
