Just bought 3GS and drivers wont load successfully on windows vista

Hi people, hope you can help.........

I have managed after a **** of a time to get the my new iphone to charge, but under device drivers my apple iphone, under portable devices still has a yellow triangle next to it and because of this my iphone will not show up in itunes and will also not show up in 'my computer' so I cant get my pictures off the device. Im assuming that this yellow triangle is the culprit.

Can somebody please help with this as I have been on this all evening and have gotton nowhere fast!!

Yes I have tried everything, to the point im gonna take the phone back. I cannot get the yellow triangle off in device manager. Hence phone is not charging, showing in itunes or in 'my computer'

Its driving me crazy!!!

If you have tried everything included with the link provided, do you have access to another computer with iTunes available you can try connecting your iPhone to - a friend or relative's computer? If your iPhone is recognized by iTunes on another computer, the problem lies with your computer.

I have no idea, but if your iPhone is recognized by iTunes on another computer, this will indicate the problem is not with your iPhone - the problem lies with your computer.

Yes i loaded itunes on my dads machine and it works perfectly. So where do i go from here?

You can try calling AppleCare, but you will probably have better luck contacting Microsoft technical support since the problem lies with your computer.

Allan - with an appointment, will Apple work on his Acer laptop to get it to recognize his iPhone? I believe they will with a Mac, just not sure about the Acer.

An Apple store will help with transferring data from a PC to a new Mac, and there should be an employee or employees at the store who are familiar enough with Windows to help with this. I don't know for certain if they will do so, but worth a try.

If i take the sim card from my new 3gs and put it back in my old 3g and connect that, it all works perfectly. The Apple Mobile Device USB driver loads up and the phone charges and works in itunes and everything. Whey would that be? Why when i take the sim card back out and put it back in my 3gs phone and then connect that the driver wont loads in device manager and nothing works again?

I had this issue with XP. In the end what I found was that the drivers were in a zip file and Itunes could not recognize it. I went to the driver folder and unzipped the driver file and it worked. Thought I would go crazy trying to figure it out. Apple support was dumbfounded but I was determined to find out the problem which I did.

Any ideas where I might find these drivers you talk about, on vista? What are they called even, can i possibly download them and install them, its all a bit crazy, im going out of my mind !!
