itunes icon on desktop

My itunes icon has a white blank icon where there used to be an itunes picture on my desktop. When I tried to reinstall itunes, I get the message that my computer already has the latest version. I have done nothing new to make it disappear, and would like my original itunes icon to reappear.
Thank you.

If the other suggestion does not work for you then you could try doing a uninstall with Revo Uninstaller.

Click on the free version:

Once you have installed Revo, try uninstalling iTunes with it and choose the ADVANCED uninstall method making sure to only select the BOLD entries in the registry. Revo does a more thorough job at uninstalling (it removes the left over registry keys) than Window's uninstall program.

Another idea:

right-click > get properties on that itunes desktop shortcut.
On the Shortcut tab, click the Icon button and choose the itunes icon.

If you don't see the Icon button, you need to delete the shortcut and rebuild it.
Got to C:Program Files/itunes.exe, right-click > Send to desktop
