Keyboard Shortcut for Superscript not working

I use Pages '09 version 4.0.3 (766). When I try to used the Keyboard Shortcut for the Superscript function (^⌘+), nothing happens. The Subscript Keyboard Shortcut works just fine.

Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?
