It appears my phone has taken some water damage. It stopped working at a party as the screen started to fade...I was a little confused. I thought maybe it just died and needed to be recharged. I got home about 5 hours later and the phone would not work. I realized both sensors were pink and that it must of somehow taken on some water. I ran a fan on it all night, picked up rice in the morning and tried to dry it out.
The phone works thus far from what I can see. The screen is white but the voice activation works, music works, I can place calls, and I can sync it fine on my Mac.
I am wondering if it needs to be dried out more (3 days of drying so far). Am I SOL and need to get a new phone? What if I replace the LCD? I know I am pretty much screwed for warranty so I am trying to figure out my options.
I would like to reply to make a final update. I was fixing a screen for a friend and had all the tools that came with the screen. I decided I might as well have a peek at mine and maybe blow dry inside my phone.
Well I pulled the LCD cable and could see slight corrosion on the one corner and what looked to be a little black. I figured it was shorting on that corner. I cleaned with some contact cleaner and scrapped it off gently as best I could.
Plugged everything back in and bam she works. I understand this voids my warranty but I figured I was out of warranty with the water sensors triggered.

+iPhone Temperate Zone. Your iPhone works best from 32° to 95° F. You should store it in environments of -4° to 113° F. That’s 0° to 35° C and -20° to 45° C for the metrically inclined. Keeping your iPhone as near room temperature as possible (72° F or 22° C) is ideal.+
Just dont leave in a TOO warm area, haha like leaving it in the sun for a long time may damage it keep always the Operating temperature: 32° to 95° F. Its look kinda obviuos but some people really exceed the temperature.
I dont think its necesary to leave it in the rice all this time, i left mine on the same table with my PC, but if you want to leave in the rice, its up to you. ; )
Let it go a few more days. Some take a week, some take a month, some don't take at all. If it needs repair, there are several places that repair iPhones... Google for one near you.
