the guy at the Mac store told me all I need is a TWAIN driver to scan

I have a Fujitsu 6130 which can use either a TWAIN or ISIS driver. The guy at the Mac store told me that any scanner that uses a TWAIN driver could be operated with Mac Leopard as Leopard has a generic TWAIN driver (or something like that--I can't remember exactly what he said.)

Problem is, even though the Fujitsu scanner shows up in System Profiler, I can not add it to the System Preferences by selecting the + below the printer/scanner menu.

My Epson scanner shows up and I've used it a ton with both the built-in scanning tools in Leopard or Adobe Acrobat Pro which is also installed on my machine.

How do I get Leopard to recognize the Fujitsu as a scanner?

imac i7, Mac OS X (10.6.2), fujitsu fi-6130, leopard 10.6.2 (current)

I decided to use my Parallels Windows XP installation and the Adobe Acrobat Standard/VRS (virtual rescan--installed the software just to use their TWAIN driver in Adobe) scanning software. It seems to be the best solution for the problem that I have tried. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro as a Mac installation, but the VRS TWAIN driver really does a much nicer job
