Stop iTunes Downloading TV Shows Purchased on my AppleTV

I have bought an HD TV show on my AppleTV.
It has downloaded on the TV and synched across to iTunes on my PC for backup.
But whenever I start iTunes it is trying to download the non-HD version of the same TV show onto the computer. I know you get standard resolution as well as HD when you buy HD, but I don't want to use loads of bandwidth to download the non-HD version when I already have the HD version downloaded and not just downloaded to the AppleTV but already on the computer running iTunes.
I have deleted the non-HD version from the downloads list countless times but everytime I go and look it's back downloading it again.

Any suggestions on how to tell iTunes to permanently stop downloading this content?

I'm having much the same problem -- there seem to be a few music videos which must have come along with albums I bought for my kids at school, but I don't want them and keep trying to delete them -- but there doesn't seem to be any way to actually permanently remove them from the downloads folder. I can stop them from downloading and delete them, but the folder will still tell me "four downloads available" so nothing's really been deleted. Anyone out there know of a way to fix this?

I am having the same problem, i use a Verizon mifi for connection most of the time. When i purchase a show to watch on my apple TV they now try to download on my laptop all the time. How do I stop them from downloading permanently. My bandwidth is measured and 4 large TV shows can easily overrun my limits and cost me. I have already watched them on apple TV and do not want a copy on my computer. There needs to be a selection for me to decide what i want to download where.

I am having a similar problem. I purchased several episodes of LOST in HD, in between viewing most of the episodes on Blu-ray from NetFlix. They were purchased on the Apple TV, watched and then later deleted. I did not want to waste the storage on my MacBook Pro hard drive, so I went into iTunes and selected "Prevent Apple TVs from syncing automatically".

But every time I download an updated iPhone application, all those previous episodes of LOST begin downloading! Both the HD and SD versions. I then have to go into the downloads page, hit Pause All, delete all the LOST episodes listed while being careful not to delete the paused iPhone apps, then hit Resume All. I'm really getting tired of this.

The one clue is at the bottom of the downloads page it says "61 iTunes Downloads Available".

Does anybody know how to edit those away for good?
