Copy just the names of files in a folder?

There used to be a way in the Finder to copy just the names of the selected files in folder, but I can't seem to find it in Leopard.

I just want to past the names of the files into a text document.

Copy them normally, and paste into a plain text document, such as a TextEdit one which has been made plain from the Format menu.

Thanks. Didn't know the 'trick' of setting the TextEdit doc to plain text before the paste. Works great.
