Easiest way to convert old audio sample CD into apple loops en masse?

Hi all,

I have dug around, but if there's a good thread on this please advise. Years ago under system 8 or 9 I used to use Roxio Toast or Jam which visualised each individual sample on a CD as separate waveforms in the CD audio tracks. I'm wondering if there's something like that around which might enable some kind of batch/script aided way of importing my old sample CDs and converting the "loops" ie. audio snippets into apple loops? Or does someone have some other novel, minimum hassle way of doing this?

Any advice gratefully received.
🙂

Many thanks in advance,

mainly macbook pro (and then 4 others!), Mac OS X (10.5.6)
