Cannot browse the App Store by Category !! Can you please help?

I got a new iphone 3GS few weeks back. Initially it was working great with the App Store. Now all of a sudden from past 2 days I noticed, I cannot browse the App Store by "Categories". When I touch the "category" tab nothing shows up.
Although I can browse by rest "Featured","Top 25","search".
Can you guys please help as I feel really helpless without "categories" to browse the app store

Hey speed!

Guess what, i've the same issue as you! My apps store "categories" disappeared mysterously like three days ago. In short, it just shows up a totally blank page. My iphone 3gs is new too, got it from the telco for less than 2 weeks ago n i'm running on OS3.1.3. Am wondering what could be the problem? Can somebody shed some light on this? New bug?

Try a reset:

Hold the sleep/wake button and the HOME button. Keep both pressed in until you see the Apple logo and then release.

Guess what? I thought that my iPhone had a virus or whatnot. I hard-reset, even restore my iPhone, and still, the error occured. It must be a bug in the new OS 3.1.3.

I have OS 3.1.3 installed and I can browse the App Store by category, so I don't think its a bug with 3.1.3 🙂

Thank you guys for letting me know that I not alone with this problem.
I tried reseting all setting and also the sleep+home process but no success.
Its like "Categories" just a blank page. I searched a lot in google about it, nothing mentioned anything about it.
may be a new bug!!

Are you still logged into the App Store on your iPhone?

It was just a thought that if you had been logged out, this might have caused your problem.

Pretty sure i'm logged in; it doesnt solve the issue. I just had a meetup with friend, he bought the iphone 3gs around 2 weeks ago as well, coincidentally his categories page is blank as well! N he didn't realise until i asked. Have checked his settings, it's OS3.1.3 alright. Guess it's a small bug but it can get a little irritating at times.

If you have any brilliant fix to this, please share with us! Thanks a million.

I have the same issue too... and the solution doesnt work on me... what can i do?
it has been 2 days... even i reset it... charge it for several times...

may be we need to wait for next OS update. Any idea when the next update for OS will be released?

Even as we wait for the next os update, do we automatically assume that apple is aware of this bug such that the next update addresses this issue? Sorry i'm sucha techie noob!

Am i glad that everyone else has the same issue, i realized that the category is not showing 3 days ago.

I had my phone for almost 6 months now and it's working well until i upgraded the OS.
