How to install provisioning profile automatically

I am building a web site to automate the process of distributing the following:
1. Configuration Profiles
2. Provisioning Profiles
3. IPhone Applications

I have uploaded some configuration profiles and provisioning profiles on the server. I have given the links to download these files on my web page.

When I click on a provisioning profile file, the safari gives following error
Safari cannot download this file

But when I click on the configuration file link, the file gets downloaded automatically and iphone starts installing that.

Does anyone have any idea how we can install the provisioning file as well?
Or is it simply not possible on iphone?
