importing kindle eBooks to iTunes for reading on iPod Touch?

I don't know how to import the book (which I purchased via Amazon which I can read with my free Kindle for Mac program) to iTunes so that I can then sync it with my iPod Touch (which has the Kindle app installed).

Any help here appreciated; or if there is a specific Amazon instruction page or info somewhere on how to do this - I just don't find it...

Thanks very much!

Best regards,

iTunes will not import and sync Kindle books. Unless there's something I've missed, you have to download them directly onto your iPhone from Amazon. I don't see any way to sync Kindle books from your computer. See:

If you need more information or want to follow up on this question, I'd suggest you contact Amazon Kindle Support.

I could be wrong, but Whispersync seems work only between the device and Amazon, not directly device-to-device. Amazon seems to have designed their Kindle system to sync all devices to Amazon's cloud. But perhaps Amazon themselves can give you a way to sync from a computer to your iPhone and thereby save downloading a second time.

When I open my Kindle app on my iPhone, it automatically checks for new books I have purchased on Amazon. (that is if I'm not in the middle of reading a book). It seems fairly easy to me, so I guess I am confused on what the problem is. iTunes is not involved. It is just wireless from iPod Touch or iPhone to Amazon.

Hope this helped.

I think the gentleman was wanting to know how to "centralize" all of the books he may buy from amazon, ibooks, ebooks, etc... The kindle app WILL sync the kindle with Amazon's wispersync "cloud" and subsequently with you iDevices, but it will not sync anything besides books from Amazon. I'm researching how to download and save all of these books on my Mac so I can have everything in one place as well. I'll let you know what I find since I got a Kindle for Christmas today!
